My Education
My Educational Journey: From Village Roots to Higher Learning
This post summarizes my academic path, highlighting key institutions, memorable experiences, and influential mentors. Each phase shaped my growth, blending discipline, adventure, and lifelong friendships.
Early Years: Village School (1977–1982)
My schooling began humbly at the local village school for 1st to 5th standard. Our dedicated teacher, Murali Garu, guided all four of us siblings (me and my brothers) both in school and through personal tuition. These foundational years instilled a strong sense of community and perseverance.
High School: Rompicherla ZPH School (1982–1986)
From 6th to 9th standard, I joined Rompicherla High School, 5 km from our village. I walked there daily, returning home in the evenings. Tuition came only in 7th standard from Krishna Reddy Garu (Telugu Pandit). Cherished memories include a wonderful 25-year reunion in 2012. We often bunked classes, hid lunches under sand instead of carrying them, played in paddy mission compounds during 'Varipottu,' and visited local santas—simple joys of rural childhood.
10th Standard: Bhakarapet School (1986–1987)
My family shifted me to Bhakarapet for 10th standard, near my maternal uncle, Mr. Garuda Reddy Yeturi, who taught there. This change brought stability. Highlights include the Bharosa get-together in July 2015 and the second reunion in 2018.
Intermediate: Jr. College, Chinna Gottigallu (1987–1991)
With newfound freedom, I enrolled at Jr. College in Chinna Gottigallu. Studies took a backseat to movies and novels initially. In the third year, Dr. D. Venkataramana Reddy provided crucial guidance and tuition, helping me clear the second year in one go—though the first year required an extra year for three pending subjects. I completed the two-year course in four years successfully! Key lecturers: Krishna Reddy (Maths), Madanmohan Reddy (Physics), and Dr. Venkataramana Reddy (Chemistry; recent meet at degree college).
Graduation: B.T. College, Madanapalle (1991–1994)
Pursuing BA in Maths at B.T. College, I roomed with Intermediate friends Murali, Afeezulla, and Srinivasulu. In the first 70 days, I watched over 170 movies—they followed with 160+! Second year with Afeezulla and Rafi; third with Sudarsan Reddy on Amineni Street. Dive into degree days details and snaps here. Highlights: temples, movies, friends, plus 1st gathering on 23 May 2010 at B.T. College and 2nd at Horsley Hills on 29 May 2011.
Post-Graduation: MCA at Alagappa University, Karaikudi (1995–1999)
Donation-free entry to Alagappa University's MCA course marked independence. Nestled in Tamil Nadu's cultural hub, it blended rigorous studies with new horizons—details in my Karaikudi days blog. Also worked in CECRI as Research Trainee to gain skills & earn money :)
These experiences—from dusty village paths to college reunions—built resilience and connections that endure today.
